CLASS ONE: homework due Tuesday--make sure you have your binders, journals, and Indie reading book by Tuesday. also: Read "Redwoods" #2. Using your "Narrative Rubric," grade the essay. Remember you must explain the scores you give.
CLASSES TWO AND THREE: select a prompt that you would like to respond to--any one, your choice. then brainstorm ideas for that prompt. Brainstorm for at least five minutes (just a list, web, whatever form you usually work with). Bring that brainstorming to class. you'll work with a partner and begin to write a multi-paragraph essay.

first day of classes, please return it as soon as possible.
- If you purchase a Texas Instrument calculator (or have already and still have the packaging),
please bring in the UPC bar code and Reward Points on the back of the package. We can
redeem them for other Texas Instrument equipment.
